OUR STRUCTURE
The Scott Volunteer Fire Department is a non-profit organization that operates with a combination of dedicated volunteers and full-time staff. Our team is led by Fire Chief Chad Sonnier and follows a ranked system that includes Deputy Chiefs, Assistant Chiefs, Captains, Engineers, Firefighters, and Junior Support.
With funding from the city, we have been able to add three full-time daytime positions and several part-time roles, providing additional support as the city of Scott continues to grow. However, while city and parish funds cover career staff and specific operational costs, they do not fully support the station's needs.
Our operations are also overseen by a Board of Directors, which ensures proper management of funds and resources and maintains transparency and accountability. We are committed to serving and protecting the Scott community with unwavering dedication and professionalism.
