Early Morning Fire
On Monday at 3:01 a.m., the Scott Fire Department responded to a reported residential fire in the 200 block of Fenetre Road. Upon arrival, firefighters observed flames emitting from multiple windows of the residence. The occupant informed firefighters that the structure was unoccupied. Firefighters promptly entered the structure to extinguish the fire, where they encountered intense flames. The fire was brought under control within approximately 20 minutes. Unfortunately, two dogs inside the residence were unable to escape.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing. The residence sustained significant fire damage throughout, rendering it a complete loss.
Units from Lafayette, Duson, and Judice provided assistance. Fortunately, no firefighters or civilians were injured during the incident.
