Businesses utilize surveys to obtain customer feedback to learn what is working, in addition to identifying areas where they can improve. Utilizing this model, Scott Fire Department has developed a “Performance Appraisal” to monitor the performance of fire personnel at emergency incidents.
While the officer in charge is gathering information for the fire report after an emergency incident, the email address of the “customer” will be obtained. The following day, the customer will receive a computer-generated survey email, which will focus on their experience with Scott Fire personnel from the incident. This data will enable us to sustain strengths, but more importantly improve on weaknesses.
This is just another example of how Scott Fire Officials are committed to bringing a higher level of productivity, and improving efficiency and effectiveness to the people we protect.
